We also have a Specialized Admissions Coordinator who can help navigate more complex enrollment cases, Cultural Liaisons who speak Cantonese, Mandarin, and other languages, as well as a Linkage Admissions Coordinator who will assist with linking people with healthcare needs prior to being enrolled. Council Hearing on transportation-The City Council Committee on Education and Committee on Oversight and Investigations will be holding a hearing on “School Bus Transportation Services” on November 21st at 10:00am, with public testimony likely to begin at 12:00pm or later. AFC will be testifying, and we thought that some of you might be interested as well. This is a great opportunity for parents, shelter providers, and others who work with students in temporary housing to make your voices heard about the challenges students in shelter face in getting reliable bus service.To register to testify in person or via Zoom, go to https://council.nyc.gov/testify/.
